This is more than just water, it’s a new chapter for Maka

On December 30th, 2024, a remarkable milestone was achieved in the village of Maka, Cameroon, as the doors of the Aquavera Water House opened for the first time.

This extraordinary event brought together donators, community leaders, and Maka community to celebrate a shared dream of clean, safe, and sustainable water access for all.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible, from donators to partners. Together, we are changing lives!

A Vision Delivered

For decades, the people of Maka have faced significant challenges accessing drinkable water. The Aquavera Water House is a beacon of hope, symbolizing progress, innovation, and the power of collaboration. This project was born from Aquavera’s mission to bridge the gap for underserved communities by providing clean water, empowering women, and fostering sustainable development.

Innovative Technology for a Sustainable Future

At the heart of the Water House there is the cutting-edge air-to-water technology powered by solar panels. This air-to-water innovative system harvests moisture from the air, condenses it into water, and filters it to ensure it’s safe for consumption. With the capacity to produce up to 1,000 liters of drinkable water daily, this solution is a game-changer for Maka.

Additionally, water from well and rainwater collection systems complement the air-to-water technology, ensuring a consistent and sustainable supply up to 5,000 liters of drinkable water daily. These efforts not only provide clean water but also protect Maka community from the dangers of long distances to fetch water.

Empowering Women and Girls

Beyond providing clean water, the project includes facilities dedicated to empowering women and girls in Maka. Training programs in sewing and beading are now accessible, offering them valuable skills to generate income and foster independence.

Impact Beyond Maka

The success of the Maka Water House is just the beginning. Aquavera is already planning its next project in Babou, where a similar transformation will take place. This expansion reflects Aquavera’s commitment to scaling its mission and reaching even more communities in need.
